Choosing My Future After High School | POV: A 20-Year-Old Content Creator in Bali

About a year ago, I graduated from high school in Sydney. Like many students, the obvious next step would have been university. Instead, I moved to Bali and gave myself one year to answer a question that I honestly couldn't answer from a classroom.
Can content creation become a real career?
This short reel is the opening scene of that experiment. In exactly one year, I'll have to make a decision: return to Australia and continue with university, hopefully leading to a stable career, or stay in Bali and keep trying to make a living by creating videos about this island and the stories it inspires.
Filmed at Kelan Beach, this moment introduces the biggest question behind the entire series. Every reel is a small piece of the same journey, documenting the uncertainty, progress, and lessons I experience before my self-imposed deadline of June 30, 2027.
If you're only watching this reel, you're only seeing the first few seconds of a much bigger story. Episode 1 explores why I decided to take a gap year, why I chose Bali, and why I'm willing to risk an unconventional path before deciding whether university is still the right choice for me.

This reel is only the introduction to Episode 1.
Watch the full episode to discover why I chose a gap year instead of going straight to university, why Bali became the setting for this experiment, and why the next 365 days will determine whether I continue chasing content creation or begin a completely different chapter back in Australia.
