They Chose Bali for 25 Years of Love

Sometimes we need to see Bali through someone else’s eyes.
On a quiet beach in Nusa Dua, we met two couples from India. They didn’t come for business. They didn’t come for a quick holiday. They came to celebrate 25 years of marriage.
And out of all the places in the world, they chose Bali.
“Bali can be a really good location for this occasion.”
When we asked why Bali, they said they had heard many good things. Beaches. Beauty. Privacy. The perfect combination.
“We thought Bali can be a really good location for this occasion.”
This wasn’t random. This was a once in a lifetime milestone. Silver anniversary. Twenty-five years of commitment. And Bali became part of that memory.
For us locals, beaches are normal. Traffic is normal. Crowds are normal. But for them?
It felt special from the moment they landed.
“From the airport to this place… it was looking so amazing.”
First Time, Already in Love
It was their first time in Bali.
And within just one day, they were already impressed.
“The beaches here are pretty amazing. This looks more like a private beach. Not many people around… there’s a lot of privacy.”
Think about that.
In a world where Bali is often labeled “too crowded,” these visitors found peace, space, and privacy.
Sometimes Bali is not overcrowded.Sometimes we just haven’t looked beyond the obvious spots.
Their 6-Day Bali Journey
They planned their trip carefully:
2 days in Nusa Dua
2 days in Seminyak
2 days in Ubud
A day in Nusa Penida
Snorkeling
Temple visit
Beach time
Shopping
Taking lots of photographs
“We want to click a lot of photographs.”
They are not just ticking boxes. They are creating memories.
Beach. Culture. Nature. Temple. Snorkeling. Romance. All in one island.
That’s Bali.
Bali Is Not Just for One Type of Traveler
These couples are not backpackers. Not digital nomads. Not party tourists.
They are celebrating 25 years of marriage.
And Bali fits them perfectly.
That’s important for us to realize.
Bali is:
For honeymooners
For families
For anniversaries
For adventurers
For spiritual seekers
For people who just want quiet time
Bali is not “only for bule party.” Bali is not “only for influencers. ”Bali is not too scary” or “too chaotic.”
For them, Bali felt safe enough. Calm enough. Special enough.
A Small Reminder for Us
Sometimes locals feel:
Bali is too crowded
Bali is too expensive
Bali is not what it used to be
But from their perspective?
It’s beautiful. Peaceful. Worth traveling thousands of kilometers for.
When someone flies from India to celebrate a 25th anniversary here, that means something.
It means Bali still has magic.
Don’t Be Afraid of Bali
If you’re Balinese or Indonesian reading this, here’s the simple truth:
People from around the world still see Bali as a dream place. Not just for parties but for love, milestones, and meaningful moments.
Bali is still for everyone. And maybe we should see it again with fresh eyes.
Because sometimes, it takes a visitor to remind us how special home really is.
